Verification Process

At WPNearMe, we are committed to connecting small and medium-sized businesses with trusted, local WordPress experts. Our rigorous verification process ensures that every professional listed on our platform meets high standards of expertise, professionalism, and reliability. Below, we outline the transparent criteria we use to vet our experts, fostering confidence in your hiring decisions.

Our Verification Criteria

1. Professional Website

Every expert must maintain an active, professional website that showcases their services. This ensures they have a digital presence that clients can explore to understand their offerings and expertise.

2. Accessible Contact Information

Experts must provide a valid phone number and email address that clients can easily use to contact them. These details must be prominently displayed on their website or WPNearMe profile to ensure seamless communication and accessibility for potential clients.

3. Social Media Presence

A verifiable presence on at least one major professional platform, such as X or LinkedIn, is required. This demonstrates active engagement with the professional community and provides clients with additional context about the expert’s credibility.

4. WordPress-Focused Services

The core services offered by the expert must center on WordPress, including but not limited to development, design, SEO, WooCommerce, consulting, or hosting. This ensures alignment with the specific needs of our clients seeking WordPress expertise.

5. Client Testimonials or Reviews

Experts must provide verifiable client testimonials or reviews from the past 18 months, hosted on their website, LinkedIn, or reputable third-party platforms like Google Reviews or Clutch. This validates their recent track record of delivering quality results. Requirements vary by profile level:

Starter: At least 3 reviews within the past 18 months.

Pro: At least 6 reviews within the past 18 months.

Elite: At least 10 reviews within the past 18 months.

6. Portfolio of WordPress Projects

A portfolio showcasing at least three (3) live WordPress projects is required. Each project should include a brief description of the expert’s role, such as theme development, plugin customization, or site optimization, to demonstrate hands-on experience.

7. Local Business Presence

Every expert must have a verifiable Google Business Profile listing in their claimed city or region. This requirement aligns with our mission to connect clients with local professionals for faster, more personalized service, ensuring authenticity and accessibility.

8. Active Engagement in the WordPress Community

Participation in the WordPress ecosystem—through contributions to plugins, themes, WordPress.org, GitHub, or attendance at events like WordCamps—reflects a deep commitment to the WordPress community and ongoing professional development. Requirements vary by profile level:

Starter & Pro: Optional but highly recommended.

Elite: Must demonstrate active engagement, such as contributions to WordPress.org, GitHub, or participation in WordPress community events.
